I Lost My Watch in Davao City

This watch, I bought in 2013. It was my first serious watch.

Of course, I've had other watches. But this was serious. The others watches I've had were waterproof watches I purchased for use during vacations and subsequently use daily because I had no other watch.

But this one, I bought it for daily use. And I subsequently use it during vacations because I like it very much.

At the wharf, I took off my watch and put it in my pocket to ensure that my wrist gets sunburned along with the rest of my arm.

Off we went from the wharf into a cab to the hotel. I thought I left it near the mirror at the hotel when we arrived but it was not there when we came back.

I tried remembering my steps and without no other recourse, I settled to believing that I lost it in the cab.

I had fun in Davao. Albeit I lost my watch.

It's just one of those things, I guess. There are things you gain, there are things you lose.

It may be sad at first because you got used to having it there all the time, but it is truly liberating to realize that you don't actually need it.

You don't actually need anything, anyone...

You just need to be the best you, happy and confident in being.

Thing is, sometimes, although you've had a great relationship with the things you lost, there will the others that will come along.

Same with things, with people and with relationships, learn to let go and truly live.
